Holiday Hacks: Tent Challenge
You don't have to wait for a Scout camp for your next tent sleepover. Setting up a tent in the living room or backyard is a great way for younger Scouts to get their first taste of camping whilst in a familiar home enviroment, and older Scouts can take on the challenge to erect their tent in the most unique location they can think of!
PLAN >>>
Resources Required:
- Yourself
- 2 Person Tent (minimum)
DO >>>
Set up a tent somewhere different or unique!
Younger Scouts - why not set up a tent in your backyard, or create your own tent in the living room with sheets and chairs?
Older Scouts - think of the wackiest (and safe) place you can set up your tent, and challenge other members of your Group to compete for most unique location. Think creatively about where you could set up your tent. Within the local area, within the house etc. See a few ideas below from the Nambucca Valley Venturer Unit around Macksville!
Ensure your set up is safe and you have permission wherever you are.
